Breaking the Ice

การสัมภาษณ์มักจะเริ่มต้นด้วย "ice breaker" (ทำให้บรรยากาศมีชีวิตชีวา)   เป็นคำถามโดยทั่วๆไปเพื่อทำให้คนที่ถูกสัมภาษณ์รู้สึกสบายใจไม่กังวลมาก
จนเกินไป

ตัวอย่างคำถามหลักอาจจะเป็น:

How are you?
Have you been here before?
How about the weather today?

จำไว้เสมอว่าว่าจะต้องสุภาพ แต่ไม่พูดมาก

Question: How are you?   Good answer: I'm fine thank you, and you?
Question: Have you been here before?   Good answer: This is my first time. I'm glad to be here.
Question: How about the weather today?   Good answer: It's nice out today.

Part 2

Be Positive

เมื่อผู้สัมภาษณ์ถามคำถามคุณ คุณจะต้องใช้ภาษาที่มีความหมายในเชิงบวก เหตุผลทางจิตวิทยาเพราะคนเราไม่ชอบที่ได้ยินคำที่มีความหมายในเชิงลบ

examples:

"I'm energetic" (ดิฉันเป็นคนชอบทำงาน)   ไม่ใช่  "I'm not lazy" (ดิฉันไม่ใช่คนเกียจคร้าน)

"I'm an honest worker" (ผมเป็นคนงานที่ซื่อสัตย์)   ไม่ใช่  "I don't cheat" (ผมไม่คดโกง)

Part 3

Education and Training

เมื่อพูดถึงประวัติการศึกษาของคุณ คุณจำเป็นจะต้องพูดประโยคที่เป็น past tense เท่านั้น

I attended Ramkhamhaeng University from 1995 to 1999.
I graduated from Thammasat University in 1998.
I graduated with a degree in engineering from Mahidol University.

attended  ศึกษาที่
graduated  สำเร็จการศึกษา
degree     ปริญญา

นอกเหนือจากประวัติการศึกษาแล้วสิ่งที่จำเป็นจะต้องบอกให้ผู้ที่สัมภาษณ์คุณ
ได้ทราบเพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ต่องานคุณควรจะบอกเกี่ยวกับสิ่งคุณได้เรียนเพิ่ม
เติมหรือฝึกฝนมาด้วย

I have taken English classes at the Bangkok English Training Center for 3 years.
I visit Yindii.com frequently to practice my English.

Part 4

Work Experience

เมื่อพูดถึงงานที่ทำอยู่ตอนนี้ให้ใช้ present perfect หรือ present perfect continuous

Siam Cement has employed me for the last 3 years as a webmaster.
I have been designing webpages for the past 6 months.


เมื่อพูดงานที่ทำในอดีต past tenses เพื่อบอกว่าคุณไม่ได้ทำงานที่บริษัท
นั้นแล้ว

I was employed by Singha Beer as a sales representative.
I worked as a secretary for Bangkok Bank.
