Question |
How many ways could the phase " Life in the Fast Lane" mean? |
Answer |
| In America there are
complicated road systems known as freeways. These freeways can have up to 6 lanes of traffic sometimes. Among these lanes, in 2 or 3 of them the traffic is moving slow to average speeds. The other lanes are faster, and the lane on the far left is always the fastest. People in this lane usually drive 10-20 miles over the acceptable speed and a little dangerously than other drivers. "Life in the fast lane" means that a person lives his life a little more dangerously than other people, living life on a razors edge, taking big gambles and risks, hoping they will pay off. |
